I love photography and have for years. My first camera was a Kodak Instamatic that I got for my birthday when I was about 13. Thankfully, time has improved all things electronic including cameras. Up until last fall, when I enrolled in the Integrated Media program at Mt Hood Community College, I had always used a point and shoot camera and swore that I would NEVER own a DSLR. The IM program required that I have one, so I purchased a Canon (the best camera brand in my opinion) Xsi and I haven't looked back. I'm currently taking "The Photographer's Workshop" by Karen Russell, whose blog and photography I absolutely love and am working hard to improve my photography skills.
My goal with this blog is to share my photos, thoughts on photography as they relate to my life and scrapbooking. I've wanted to participate in Project 365 (taking a photo a day) for several years, but haven't had the discipline to follow-through. We'll see what I come up with.
Below are several photos I took on Saturday at the Oregon Steamup (you can read about our trip on my other blog, Musings of an Unfinished Woman.
Can you imagine using this to prepare taxes!!
I'm a Diet Coke girl and remember what a treat it was to sit on the front porch and have an ice cold bottle of Coke when I was a kid.
They don't make cars like this anymore. Look at that front grill and those headlights!
